Rally and press conference a success!
The Arizona Board of Regents and Arizona’s three public university presidents hosted a press conference on the lawn of the State Capitol to outline the implications of the proposed budget cut to higher education. Scores of media representatives covered the press conference. Nearby, more than 1,000 university students from ASU, NAU and UofA attended a rally at Wesley Bolin Plaza hosted by the Arizona Students’ Association. Students held signs urging lawmakers to save higher education and chanted “student power” and “don’t hate – educate!” Click here for a look at images from both events.
